Accessibility Statement

ETG Communications wants everyone who needs a phone system, cameras, cabling or a repair to be able to find what they need on this website and reach us. We are working to make the site usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control.

Our goal

We design this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to content” link is the first item on each page, and the item you are on is always clearly outlined.
  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields so screen readers can move around them.
  • Text and controls meet the AA colour-contrast requirements.
  • Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and when zoomed in to 400%, with no sideways scrolling.
  • Animation is switched off for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Pictures that carry information have text descriptions; decorative pictures are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Links that open a new tab say so.

How we checked

Before publishing this design we tested every page with automated accessibility tools and with keyboard-only navigation, and we reviewed the key pages by hand. Automated tools only find part of the problems, which is why we also want to hear from you.

Known limitations

Some content comes from other companies and may not meet the same standard: the embedded Google map on the Contact page, the spam check on the contact form, and the sites we link to, such as Google, Facebook, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp.
